She began learning Tahitian dance at the age of 10.
During high school, she studied abroad in Canada for six months and in the United States for a year, attending local high schools. While in the US, she belonged to a local Polynesian dance school. Through dance, she met and spent time with people from all over the world, learning not only about dance but also about diverse ways of life.
She continued to grow as a dancer, winning numerous awards, including overall championships, in dance competitions both domestically and internationally.
Immediately after graduating from Waseda University, she traveled to Tahiti alone and was accepted as the only Japanese dancer to participate in "Heiva I Tahiti," the world's most prestigious Tahitian dance festival held every July in Tahiti. She won the group competition and was selected to join a top local team.
